Harbor Drive Raft Off

Thanks to all the people that participated.

Harbor Drive Raft Off

Thanks to all the people that participated.  It was a great to see everyone and on top of that the weather was perfect.

August 15, 2015

The Harbor Drive boat raft off is today.  The plan is to tie our boats together near the sandy water area near Loddie View.  There is a secret spot that is perfect, according to Larry, that is near the shore by Loddie View where there is a vacant lot.  This lot is just north of the large flag pole.  So if you are planning on going today we will see you there about 1:00 pm.  If you need to hop on someone's boat there is room available.  Call Susan McIntosh before 1 pm today and she can try to hook you up with a boat you can go out on (Susan 586-612-0456)

If you can't find us on the lake for some reason call Susan she will have her phone active.

June 2015

Thanks to the lady who worked hard on repainting the front entrance flower pots and planted the flowers in them.  Everyone on this street benefits from the entrance looking nice and the volunteers who work on the behalf of everyone deserve a thank you!  So "thank you".

There will be three canal treatments this summer with the first on being in the next few days.  The second will be in early July and the third will be in August.  The treatment company will post yellow flyers on the canal with what watering restrictions are in effect.

The Harbor drive security system in up and running with three camera with night vision and license plate reading capabilities.  If any resident, that is current on association dues, needs to have access to the camera video images we can pull those images off up to 2-3 weeks in the past.  Contact Gregg McIntosh (board member) for details.  586-216-7071.

The first annual Harbor Drive boating raft off will take place on August 15th (Saturday) with an alternate date being August 16th (Sunday).  Anyone that has a boat, pontoon, jet ski, dingy, canoe or other floating craft is welcome to tie off with everyone else from the street on that day.  If you are a person that has no floating craft, and you want to participate, several other people on the street have expressed a willingness to have you on their boats.  So everyone is welcome if you have a boat of not.  Here is some things to remember about this event.

*  If the weather is good we will have the event on the 15th.

* If the weather is questionable, in your mind, based on wind, rain or temperature please call Susan McIntosh at 586-612-0456 or Gregg McIntosh at 586-216-7071 that morning and we will tell you what the plan is.  So if you are questioning the day, wind or whatever call us and they will help.

*  The location of the boats all being tied together will be in front of Lottie View on the sand bar.  If the wind is NOT in our favor that day and waves will be an issue we will consider a second location where the waves will be less.  We will announce on this page any changes to date or location on this page so checking back here the day before or the day of the event should help you.  If not call Susan or Gregg on that Saturday morning.

*  If you have not boat and would like to go on someone else's boat or if you have a boat that you would welcome guests who do not have a boat please contact Susan or Gregg a week before the event to let them know so that they can matching people up so that everyone can be involved.
